Bates = He is the Clock Winder. He exists outside of time and is the greatest chance of defeating The Sand. He began to gather together the Insomniaxe and he is the driving force behind them.

driftbaby

Driftbaby = She is a warrior who dwells on the edge of sleep.

ferrell

Ferrel = he is an aspirant god.

Sent

Sent = Sent stars in Red Eye. He has somehow managed to survive an encounter with The Sand’s soldiers and is believed to be the key to their defeat.

Serena = the main character of Virago is genetically altered so that she derives intense sexual pleasure from every kill which her work as an assassin brings her

Simeon

Simeon = Wields the Insomniaxe itself. Is slightly bemused by the fact that he was picked as its champion.
